The Potect Pot Ring – An Innovative Solution to Protect your Plant Pots
Our Journey
Our journey began in Italy in the mid-1960s, when Dad started an apprenticeship in design and toolmaking. What began as a job quickly became his passion. With a sharp eye for spotting challenges and a gift for creating clever, practical solutions, he built a career that blended imagination with precision.
Away from the work, Mum and Dad’s garden has always been their sanctuary. But when six pots cracked during the winter of 2021–2022, Dad knew he had to find a better way. Disappointed by what was available, he picked up his pencil and began designing the perfect pot stand.
Through sketching, prototyping, and the precision of 3D printing, he refined the design again and again.
The result was Potect — a modular, clip-together ring that’s simple, reliable, and built to last.
Potect is now proudly produced at our factory in Portsmouth, with tooling made in Devon by a skilled toolmaker. By November 2022, we held our very first batch in our hands.

Since 2022, Potect has become a product loved by gardeners everywhere. We have been busy showcasing Potect at garden shows across the UK, where feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:

Potect is a family business, rooted in passion, focused on craftsmanship, and built on a love for solving problems.
During lockdown, Liza joined the family business, Micro Plas Mouldings Ltd, working side by side with Giovani (Dad) to develop Potect.

These are the best I’ve used so far amazing pot rings keeps your plants from getting waterlogged & they are great too for the planet as they are made from great recycled materials. Definitely will keep buying these & recommendations to all family & friends

Potecting my pots and patio

I have these and use Potect for my patio plant pots. They work really well for me, as there is no heavy lifting and caring for my pots and patio is now so easy. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to make gardening a little bit easier.
